If I could add a fourth, it would be, "anything an organizer does (alone) is a missed opportunity" - to show somebody else how it's done, to give somebody else the responsibility to do it, to share ownership and leadership, to build up others.

Jesus of Nazareth, Frederick Douglass, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Martin Luther King, Jr, Huey P. Newton, Paul Wellstone, Saul Alinsky, Mohandas Gandhi and Re. Louis Beckwith

What movements or political moments have most influenced your organizing career?:

Civil Rights, Anti-draft, anti-war (Vietnam)

Are you still in organizing? If not, in what other fields have you worked? What are you doing now?:

Still supporting organizing by directing money from our foundation and organizing money from others. I also try to encourage good people to get in, to do their best and to stay around.
