Organizer Profile

This work is a calling for me. As a child I always responded emotionally when hearing stories of struggle, justice and injustice. When I was 12 years old I read a history book, Occupied America: Chicanos Struggle for Liberation, by Rodolfo Acuna. I so resonated with that book because I could see how my family related to its stories. It spoke eloquently of people working together and succeeding in making change. There was no turning back after that.
