What brought you into the work?:

Canvassing for Washington Fair Share in Tacoma, WA in 1989.

What movements or political moments have most influenced your organizing career?:

The election of George HW Bush in 1988 and the reaction of my co-workers at the construction site made me think it was time to do something different.

Yes still in organizing, though my current work also emphasizes a broader range of social change strategies (community development, arts & culture...)
