I used to go to a lot of radical protests but was always interested in creating a broader, more popular movment, especially after spending time in Mexico. The union needed a proficient spanish speaker and I was available. Also, my mother was involved in community organizing when I was growing up.

-Building power is important and neccessary. Many of us have the experience of being traumatized by the powerful being the abusive ones, but we need to get over that.
-Everyone has an important relationship that you can be a part of if you spend the time.
